REFUND POLICY

This Refund Policy applies to battery systems and related products purchased from Wattlabs Power Pvt. Ltd.

Policy Overview

Given the custom-engineered nature of our battery systems, refunds are handled on a case-by-case basis. This policy outlines general principles, but specific terms will be included in your purchase contract.

Custom Engineered Products

Most Wattlabs battery systems are custom-engineered for specific applications. Due to the nature of custom engineering:

  • Orders cannot typically be cancelled once engineering work has commenced
  • Refunds are not available for products manufactured to customer specifications
  • Changes to specifications after order confirmation may incur additional costs

Order Cancellation

Before Engineering Commences:

  • If you cancel an order before engineering work and component procurement begins, cancellation may be possible subject to:
  • Written cancellation request
  • 5% administrative fee on order value
  • No costs incurred for engineering or procurement

After Engineering Commences:

  • If engineering work, custom design, or component procurement has begun:
  • Cancellation charges apply based on work completed
  • Costs incurred for engineering, design, and procured components will be charged
  • Partial refund may be provided after deducting actual costs incurred

Defective Products

If you receive a battery system that is defective or does not meet the specifications agreed upon in your contract:

Within 7 Days of Delivery:

  • Contact us immediately if you discover:
  • Physical damage during shipping
  • Missing components or accessories
  • Defects in materials or workmanship
  • Performance not meeting contracted specifications

We will:

  • Investigate the issue promptly
  • Arrange for inspection if required
  • Provide replacement, repair, or refund as appropriate
  • Bear costs for return shipping if product is defective

Warranty Period:

  • For defects discovered during the warranty period (as specified in your contract):
  • Contact our technical support team
  • Provide details of the issue and performance data
  • Allow our engineers to diagnose the problem
  • Repair, replacement, or credit will be provided per warranty terms

Wrong Product Delivered

If you receive a product different from what you ordered:

  • Contact us within 7 days of delivery
  • Provide order details and description of product received
  • Do not install or use the incorrect product
  • We will arrange collection and delivery of correct product at no cost to you

Non Refundable Situations

Refunds will not be provided for:

  • Products damaged due to improper installation
  • Systems that fail due to operating conditions exceeding specifications
  • Performance issues arising from inadequate maintenance
  • Products modified by customer or third parties
  • Normal wear and tear or degradation within specified parameters
  • Custom-engineered systems manufactured to customer specifications

Refund Amount

Approved refunds will be calculated as:

  • Full payment minus shipping costs (both ways)
  • Minus any engineering or customization costs incurred
  • Minus 5% administrative fee
  • Minus cost of any components or materials that cannot be reused

For custom systems, refund amount will be determined based on:

  • Work completed and costs incurred
  • Reusability of manufactured components
  • Contract terms and conditions

Return Shipping

For Defective Products:

Wattlabs bears the cost of return shipping at standard rates.

For Other Returns:

  • Customer is responsible for return shipping costs. We recommend:
  • Using trackable shipping method
  • Obtaining proof of shipment
  • Insuring valuable shipments
  • Following our packaging guidelines for battery systems

Wattlabs is not responsible for products lost or damaged during return shipping.

Exchanges

Due to the custom nature of our products, exchanges are generally not available. If a replacement is needed:

  • For defective products: Replacement provided under warranty
  • For wrong products: Correct product shipped at no cost
  • For specification changes: Treated as new order with applicable charges

Restocking Fee

Standard restocking fees do not apply as most products are custom-engineered. However, administrative and engineering costs will be deducted from refunds where applicable.

Timeline

  • Refund Request: Must be made in writing within specified timeframe
  • Inspection Period: 7-14 working days after product return
  • Refund Processing: 14 working days after inspection approval
  • Bank Processing: Additional 3-10 days depending on your bank

Total timeline: 4-6 weeks from refund request to funds in account

Special Circumstances

For larger projects, fleet deployments, or ongoing supply agreements, refund terms will be specified in the master supply agreement or project contract.

Governing Terms

This Refund Policy is subject to the terms and conditions specified in your purchase contract. In case of any conflict, the contract terms will prevail.
